Shrek the Third

Technically, this game lacks in quite a few places. The graphics are fantastical to the core and I don't mean "fantastic". Each stage has its own special graphical perks, but they aren't really that eye-catching. They're just alright, but not terrible and don't add or detract from the game. One aspect that does make the game seem a bit underdeveloped occurs when many of the controlled characters actually have frame-rate problems. The game doesn't lag; the characters themselves do. It's like they don't have enough frames in their animations. This is extremely rare in video games and should be completely avoided and corrected before releasing a game! The soundtrack is poppy and adds to the festive feel of it all. One of the boss battles actually involves a song sang by Captain Hook. It's one of the only somewhat humorous parts in the game. Sound effects are repetitive, but continue to add to the medieval theme presented in all parts of the game, including the menus.

The Castle Destroyer minigame is the only available multiplayer mode.

Multiplayer has always been a major part of the Shrek games. You usually are able to team-up with another human and run through the game performing teamwork based missions. Not so in Shrek the Third. You have one multiplayer option. Castle Destroyer. In this mode you choose a character, a level, and a tower type. You each then face-off by firing arrows and stone balls at the opposing team's towers. It's fun for a little while, but quickly diminishes into boringness. A few more of the single-player mini-games could have easily been made into multiplayer games that could have been played on Xbox Live or at least the same console. The single player modes aren't enough to warrant a purchase, so a few more multiplayer modes might've helped sell a few more. I'm sure it'll do fine in the money-making department, though.
