Home : News : News Story

Speculation is rampant about a new DS design in response to sales dipping in Japan, but Nintendo says there's no truth to the rumors.

Since Japanese Nintendo DS sales began tapering off, the web has been ablaze with rumors about a redesign. Analysts including Wedbush Morgan's Michael Pachter have predicted as much.

Said redesign is rumored to include larger screens, or touch functionality for the both the top screen as opposed to just the bottom screen. Kotaku is reporting on the latest rumors quoting unnamed industry sources. The Big N is saying there is no truth to any of these rumors and that the company has never officially discussed a redesign.
