With Grand Theft Auto IV in the news again, you just knew a Jack Thompson sighting would follow.
A bizarre Thailand cab driver murder is still being sorted out but initial reports suggest the murder suspect, 19-year-old Polwat Chinno, was emulating something he saw in a Grand Theft Auto game.
Enter gaming crusader Jack Thompson, who has fired off an e-mail to Take Two Interactive, publisher of the GTA series.
"I warned you both (Take-Two chair Strauss Zelnick and CEO Ben Feder) that copycat killings by teens would occur upon the release of Grand Theft Auto IV," Thompson said. "Now my prediction has come true."
Thompson goes on to say that is the latest killing inspired by Take Two's murder simulators, but he aims to make it the last. It seems like Thompson would have other things to worry about, like the Florida bar contemplating banning him for life. But then no one really knows what's going on in between Thompson's ears.
