Capcom yesterday announced an all-new installment in the Dead Rising series, entitled Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop, exclusively for the Nintendo Wii. It is currently scheduled to launch in the Winter of this year.

Chop Till You Drop tells the story of Frank West, “an overly zealous freelance journalist on a hunt for the scoop of a lifetime.” While pursuing said scoop, West inadvertently stumbles across a town overrun by Zombies.

The game will utilize Resident Evil 4's in-game engine, include “expansive” indoor and outdoor areas to explore, and allow players to use makeshift weapons (umbrellas and benches, for example) to dispatch foes.
