A song from the eternally delayed album Chinese Democracy has made the cut for Rock Band 2.
Guns N' Roses reunion effort Chinese Democracy has been delayed longer than Duke Nukem Forever. But at least one song will be available for listening soon courtesy of Rock Band 2. The trackShackler's Revenge will be included on that game along with songs from Beck, Bob Dylan and Panic at The Disco.
The sequel to the hit music game, due in September, will also allow players to import all their songs from the first game. Rock Band has sold more than three million units and seen more than 15 million songs downloaded.
The music industry has been quick to realize the popularity of music games. Rock Band rival Guitar Hero is partnering with supergroups like Aerosmith and Metallica for games featuring their hit songs. Music games are rapidly becoming a venue for artists to promote new work. Activision Blizzard has announced that Guitar Hero World Tour and Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock will feature downloadable content from Metallica's ninth studio album Death Magnetic.
