Peter Moore Steps Down To Join EA

Xbox front man Peter Moore has just accepted a $1.5 Million bonus and annual salary of $550K to head up EA Sports.

Electronic Arts is reportedly rolling out the red carpet for their newest employee, Microsoft's Peter Moore, the former head of the Xbox division. Moore will be setting up shop as the new head of EA Sports.

EA's offer letter included a once-off signing bonus of $1.5 Million, "in recognition of the future compensation value he would be foregoing by leaving his position at Microsoft", plus an annual salary of $550K.

EA also said it will provide Moore a stock option to purchase 350,000 shares of the company's common stock.

EA are also said to be assisting Moore with relocation expenses to the tune of $330,000. That's a lot of removal trucks! No word yet on who will replace Moore, but whoever Microsoft brings on board certainly has big shoes to fill.
