Nintendo's new home console has reached their predicted sales forecast of 4 Million units by January.
This figure represents the fastest selling next-gen console, with Sony's PS3 only managing 1.4 Million units so far. Despite having a one year lead on it's competition, Microsoft's Xbox 360 has thus far only sold 8.3 Million units. It is only a matter of time before the Wii reaches, and surpasses this figure, which would put Nintendo in the number one position, possibly by the end of 2007.
In other news, the DS continues to dominate the handheld war, with 36.3 Million units sold, compared to the PSP's 19.9 Million.
