Crytek CEO: Crysis Not Possible on Consoles

With 1.5GB of RAM recommended to run the game, it's not so surprising that the CEO of Crytek is claiming this game cannot be ported to next-gen consoles.

Crysis has been the subject of much media coverage since it was shown at E3. The graphics, physics and gameplay all looking amazing. It will come as no surprise then, that it won't be ported to the next-gen consoles. With requirements like these for the PC version, it's easy to see why:

CPU: Dual-core CPU (Athlon X2/Pentium D)
Graphics: Nvidia 7800GTX/ATI X1800XT (SM 3.0) or DX10 equivalent
RAM: 1.5Gb
HDD: 6GB
Internet: 512k+ (128k+ upstream)
Optical Drive: DVD
Software: DX10 with Windows Vista
